A poem for Spring at Bodega Head

A profusion of flowers blanketed the ground at my feet,
Floral scent mingled with the salt-sea air and was sweet,
A couple seated near engaged in animated talk,
Waves below swirled and crashed amid the rocks,
I raised my eyes hoping to see more,
But floating mists hid the distant shore,
And I in wonderment continued to walk along the ridge,
Knowing I had just witnessed a small piece of times edge.
